February 2, 2018 – Planting the other half of the site. Thanks to Terry Rutland for donating his time and equipment used in preparing the site and covering & rolling the planted seed for us. We planted over 25 different native grasses and over 25 native wildflowers as well. Many thanks to John Snowden’s Bluestem Nursery for donating many of the seeds.
Thanks to the hard cold work of the Friends we did it! The pollinator garden at the Southwest Nature Preserve is seeded. Now all we need is a little more cold, gentle rains and sunny days! Can’t wait to see what happens.
